Funny auld transfer window. One of the 1st names we were linked with at start of summer window ends up being our last signing of the summer. Welcome to the club Merlin ?‍♂️.

Does anyone know much about him? I gather he’s a central midfielder? But not sure what type of player he is? I’m guessing he has come instead of Soucek? Given his size he seems like a Moyes type signing. Maybe Garner will play right back?

He's said he thinks he plays best box to box. I think he could be a longer term replacement for gueye. Not many are as good defensively as gueye. Hopefully we get a bit more out of him attacking though.

He is all action Swinners and can do a bit of everything.

His work rate is phenomenal and uses his frame to win the ball back, spin away and start attacks. He has lovely feet and change of direction for a bigger man.

I think he will fit really well into our side mate. He is a throwback box to box for me. Capable of doing both sides of the game. Having the likes of Grealish, Ndiaye and KDH ahead of him will see his creative numbers increase.

Some window this. The only way it could have got better is if we got a RB in and spent more wisely on a ST imo but we can't have it all. To do what we have done in a single window is very impressive.

BN: As long as he's not the "box to box" midfielder that Mick? Milligan turned out to be. Signed from Norwich under Mike Walker. I still have nightmares of that signing.

He can also play left back. Dynamic, all action attacking midfielder that can do the dirty work also. Good signing imo.

Bloody hell Bigboyspie, that would be a good pub trivia question. I'd of never remembered Milligan playing for us until you just said lol.

And he is two footed which makes a nice change.

{Ed001's Note - do you normally watch amputee footie then?}

03 Sep 2025 09:21:19
No but we have far two many players who are unable to kick a ball with their weaker foot. Pretty weak effort at sarcasm that mate.

03 Sep 2025 15:03:22
From what I saw, most of our players the last 5 years only ever kicked the ball with their weaker foot brass.

With the lack of goals at the start of last season, you could say our forwards were ‘armless….
