Why do some people feel the need to tear in to our players at any given opportunity? isn't right. Imagine playing for the club you support for years, one of the first names on the starting sheet, then wanting to leave because Mike from Huyton is booing you every home game because he thinks you don't pass the ball quick enough. don't deserve some of the players we have, at times.

Agree3 Disagree2

personally don't H but can see why, if you skint yourself week in week out to watch your team and one of the players is on 50k a week and not performing then he could get stick.

Wasnt naming anyone specifically there (except Mike from Huyton) so apologies if it seemed that way.

I can understand why its important to be critical, and how it must be frustrating for some of the fans when a player seems to be underperforming regularly, but it seems to get excessive on here a lot; even seen suggestions that we should get rid of Ross and Rom, 2 of our most important players, after a run of a few bad games!

There's a difference between getting stick and the venom that some of the fans come out with.
You only have to read some of the posts on here to see what I mean.

We do not deserve to have Ross and would not blame the lad for leaving, the stick he gets is unbelievable.

Spot on Hugo. Far too much negativity on the terraces toward the team and it's no coincidence that our home form is bad

I'm one of these people who think he should pass the ball earlier, but never once have I booed him.
I think he's a very good player, but I also think he could be twice the player he is if he did pass it earlier.
But booing won't make him do it, that will destroy his confidence.
I think it's up to the manager to sort out this part of his game. Another clanger from RM I think.
While we're on the subject, I also think Romelu needs to improve his ball control.
Neither of these players have improved in their respective departments since they've been playing for us, and that is bad management of what are great assets.
Any half decent maager would by now have had Romelu trapping the ball on a sixpence and I bet he's done zero work on this since he's been here.

{Ed025's Note - i agree on the ross part frank but i think rom has improved his game since joining us, his first touch has actually improved which was not hard as he could not trap a bag of cement when he came, my beef with him is that since all this transfer talk he has been lacklustre bordering on bone idle mate..

Ok Ed I'll give you that, but could do much better.
I fear he will get a really bad injury one of these days. I mean when he's trying to control the ball it goes a yard or two away from him an it leaves him open to 50/ 50 challenges quite often.
To be honest I thought Rom was lazy when he came and I never liked him. But a taxi driver said to me, 'what would you rather have, a forward who runs out to the wings like a headless chicken, or someone who does nothing but gets goals' I changed my mind about him that day.

{Ed025's Note - i dont worry about him getting injured frank, that will be someone else,s problem next season mate..

I watched the video of Ross at half time at Wembley and he needed his spirits lifting because he thought our fans were booing him. At the end of the day he can't do it all on his own, tactics play a part and as Ed025 says, Rom has decided he wants out judging his body language. is love to be able to pull on the royal blue jersey and I know if my own fans boo'd me my heart would sink into my stomach. let's just stop the slagging and get behind the team. we can boo them til the cows come home against Bournemouth but for what? . The chance to slag the team off again if things go against us. we are supporters. Let's support the club and players.

I aalready pointed out that too much responsibility was placed on both Barkle and Stones by the current manager. I read daft comments on here 2 years ago about Moyes holding young players back and how RM was giving them a chance and how great things were. I laughed at the time because Moyes signed Stones and also gave Barkley his debut. RM then started picking both every game and I watched 2 young men maturing into first team players but worried about the weight on their shoulders. Both should have been rested long ago and slowly integrated into the first team. It is no coincidence that these 2 and Lukaku are the young ones in the team and also the ones we are discussing with regards to form and effort. Being a first team player is difficult in League 2. Being a first team player at Everton FC is a responsibility for the strongest of characters.
