Bale was poor :')

Sterling was overpriced and greedy, loves himself too but there is talent there, not 50 million pound worth but that's what City paid so that's what he was worth

Barkley was class and that's why top clubs were looking at him, cue Roberto with his tactics, "Ross I don't want you to run at their defence because you look good when you do that, you have power, pace and both feet, Ross try your best not to pass forward either, Id prefer it if you just done 5 yard lay offs or passed back, I know Ross it doesn't help us but at least we keep posession, and finally Ross under no circumstances are you ever to track back, tackle and retrieve the ball"

Bale was unbelievable, running 50 yards whilst dribbling around 3 players then slotting it in the net from 25 yards, that was Bale, cue £85 million transfer fee

I disagree with your statement that we were down if Rom never scored his goals, it would have simply meant Roberto got sacked earlier.

Stones is poor? Barkley, sterling and Bale are/ were poor? Have you been out in the sun without a hat on?

Stones is not poor. Stones is top quality. That is why every club in Europe want him. The problem is he is 21 years old and people forget that he was given first team responsibilities at a very young age for a center back. Then when he had made a few mistakes and should have been rested, he was continually picked. We were thin on the ground because Distin had been "shifted out". Mori had not yet been signed and the crowd were getting on his back. I remember reading stupid comments about how Martinez gave youngsters a go and Moyes held them back. It was Moyes who signed him. It was Moyes who gave debuts to Barkley, Stones and even Rooney, Baxter and Vaughan all at 16. But Moyes knew to blood young players slowly and keep their feet on the ground. Perhaps that is another part of why Stones thinks he is Franz Beckenbaur at times?

My two penny opinion for what it's worth.

Stones - I've wondered if he's overrated but deep down there's a part of me that thinks with a proper manager he'd be top class.

Barkley - again with a proper manager he'd be top class, needs to learn to let the ball go a bit quicker though.

Bale - top of the range, would walk into any prem team.

Sterling - I have no time for women beaters. The most overrated player I've ever seen and wouldn't get into my team if I was that lucky to manage one. You only get 11 players, can't afford to carry one for the vast majority of the season. I don't think he'll last 5 minutes with Pep.

Distin probably got the boot because he disagreed with martinezs tactics especially when it came to the defense maybe the truth will come out now.

Bang on Degsy. Stones has been mismanaged as a player and abused by his own supporters. Constantly getting slagged off here and other Internet forums, slagged off by the boo boys on the terraces and left in the firing line by his own boss when he should have been taken out of it. Personally, I'll be gutted if he goes - even for £100m. Same goes for Barkley. People forget that these are kids. Remember how he was treated by our own "fans" when we played Barnsley in the cup? Who'd blame him for getting off.

Moyes Moyes Moyes! Can we please stop talking about this guy.

He treated us like dirt!
If one of my mates treated me the way Moyes treated EFC and us fans then I would proper chin him if I saw him again.

It actually angers me that there is a possibility he could return.

I agree ToffeeAce. I feel like I'm always having a go at Degsy but it's nothing personal. Degsy every post you have at the moment is about how great Moyes is. You obviously want him back. I do actually appreciate that he did a good job with limited funds, and probably helped lay the groundwork for the clubs current situation. I also actually enjoyed the football sometimes. I don't even care about the Manchester United thing, I'm over it. But let's not kid ourselves that he's the next Brian Clough like. The fact is now we need to get a manager capable of winning us the league (not saying that will necessarily happen even if we get a top quality manager) . I will go out on a limb here and say that I believe that Moyes will never win any of the top leagues (by which I mean ours, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1) . That is not the kind of man we need at our club.
