Reports stating that Lukaku will be offered a new double your money contract to stay with us do we really want him to stay for the money or the fact we are going places and can offer him possible European football maybe even 2017/ 2018. I want a player who wants to be here hopefully RK will sit down with the team and tell them his plans and future for the club and the players will be up for it and next season will be our best in a very long time.

I've completely gone off Lukaku he and his father have youthed off too often in my opinion. He only scored 1 or 2 premier goals in 2016 and missed 2 vital penalties. grab the money and invest it in someone who wants to play for us.
wellzee.

I honestly will never take to the fella, he doesn't want to be here and I also think we can find better.

It goes without saying that, between him, his dad and his agent, there is too much talking about leaving and how good he/ they think he is. There is no doubt, from those who watch him week in week out, that he isn't as good as they/ him think. That's not to say that he is a useless player, you don't score the amount of goals he has in the prem at his age if you are a bad player.
I would be happy if the lad ends up staying as he does score important goals but he still has a lot to learn about the strikers role. I can't see any team wanting to spend 40m+ on him, especially after his nightmare v Italy a few days ago. He is tied down to a contract, not that they mean much in today's game, so, in theory, the club is in control. It will be interesting to see how RK treats the situation and, more importantly, how he handles Rom. There's no question that RM bowed down to the players so I'm looking forward to seeing this squad managed with a bit more discipline. No more dead certs to start even when players are off form which should keep all of them on their toes.
If he goes he goes but I wouldn't be too bothered if he starts next season with us. But only if we see enough of a change in his attitude and hear a lot less from his agent and dad. I wouldn't give him a pay rise until he knuckles down and shows he deserves it.

Personally I hope he stays.

No matter what you may think of him without his goals last season we would now be in the Championship.

His attitude stinks but he is still relatively young and he needs someone like Koeman to take him under his wing and get him to the next level. RK has that gift and can/ will get the most out of him.

Once RL gets to see he is appreciated and starts learning again he will become a great asset to us but I would draw the line at offering him double his money to stay. If he stays it MUST BE because he wants to not because he will be on more money to do so.
I think doubling his money sends out the wrong kind of message, Everton and RK should ONLY want players who WANT to play for us.

As far as RL father goes he is just looking out for his son, he has seen him start to flourish at Everton and thinks now is the right time for him to go, we all offer our kids what we think at the time is our best advice even if that advice is wrong. Remember as parents we are often blind to everything else that goes on and as a result we tend to offer advice even when it is not needed. Now his agent on the other hand is not doing RL any favours at all and IMHO needs to be changed as soon as possible, if he is not careful he could end up ruining RL's career.

If RL stay's he will no doubt get some stick from the crowd, once he scores a few goals for us all of this will be forgotten, especially when he scores that goal on the last day of the season to take us into the CL. It won't take a long time for him to become hero again ( he could do that by scoring a hat trick aginst the other lot )

Get rid of him yesterday please.

A couple of your points Grumpy have answered your questions.

He doesn't want to be at Everton then he must leave.

RM made him the egotistical player he is today by putting on a pedastal and appreciating him to death.

I would rather him play for us for money rather than wanting to go every 5 minutes because he is the king of the world and deserves better than Everton.

Having players with you for money is good, having players because they have fell in love with the club is also good but having a player that doesn't want to play for you and wants to be somwhere else is not good.

I'm not sure RM can take all the credit for him having an ego. So let's maybe not make RM the scapegoat for every issue the club/ player has.

Nobody is blaming RM for the lads ego but he certainly contributed in hoisting him upon that pedestal CT. No one can deny that Rom was pretty invincible under our last manager, he massaged that ego when he should have been dropping him. I wouldn't blame everything on RM but man management wasn't his strong point, he didn't want to upset his goal scorer, and that helped in getting him the boot.
