I still think we should go for Hart, to be honest.
Hypothetically, If we signed him permanently, in today's market, I imagine he'd cost around £35m and at 29 he's got around 5 or 6 good years left in him. That means his market price would be around about £7m a year for him, without his wages. Add on to that the fact that I imagine most of our players are on around £3m a year anyway, then just look at it as if we simply have to spend £4m on him and then pay normal wages.
It is a lot of money, but £7m with no actual fee for a keeper who I believe could push us up a level (keeper has been a huge weakness for us for about 5 years) , seems like solid business to me, especially if we're willing to spend around £25m+ on a position we don't need to strengthen as much.

AB Hart is on roughly £7m per year wages I am under the impression the £7M quoted was the minimum for a 1yr loan. We would still have to buy him. He has a couple of years left on his contract at MC so its unlikely he will want to take a pay cut when he can earn £7m per year sitting on his backside.

Don't agree Ander. It simply comes down to this for me. There is far better value out there.
