Hi Ed 025 I see the rags today are now saying that a lot of fans are asking the board to sack R K and bring in Ancelotti after he was sacked from Bayern, how much longer will Mr Moshiri carry on with R K do you reckon, would they possibly consider this option and are R Ks days numbered, i don't know what would be the best really I was chuffed when R K joined us but surely the board won't put up with the results we are getting mush longer.

{Ed025's Note - i think he will be given a short time to turn things around GB but with the new stadium on the horizon a relegation fight is not an option, i hope he does get us firing but im not holding my breath mate..

Ed, when RK sat down with SW to go through what he wanted SURELY they discussed formations as well as positions when identifying targets. surely someone would have asked. "we have Tom Davies, Gana, Schneiderlin. so where and how are you going to play Rooney, Sigurdson and klaasen? " If not then fool on them, but if so surely the buck does not just stop with RK?

{Ed025's Note - it does really jcl, koeman is the No1 guy, the head honcho, the big cheese, numero uno...so the buck stops at him mate..

Ed to continue, I agree he's responsible, he picks the team, he's playing at least 5 CMs across midfield ( I include Rooney there) and sacrifices width and pace in order to do so. and doesn't make best use of any of the CMs (other than Gana) . but why endorse buying so many CMs, to the detriment of strikers and more CBs (browning on loan? ) . My point being that other parties clearly allowed this. In my line of work I have to establish strategies and solutions for them. all with a view to solving one problem. obviously RK didn't have to do this, a sane person would have questioned the acquisitions made/ suggested.

{Ed025's Note - i really dont know why there are so many jcl..

29 Sep 2017 17:03:13
Why is everyone in such a rush to get rid of RK? I just don't think he has had enough time with this group of players to sort out the best team for the formation he wants to play. Our performances are not great but in the PL we are mid table and have a point from 4 of last seasons top 6 and beaten both teams that finished below us. Given time I think he will settle on the formation and personnel to push us forward.

{Ed025's Note - i would like to think so sa but you cant really blame supporters for asking questions when we are so flat mate..

29 Sep 2017 17:09:01
Neither do I ed. I would not have endorsed it, nether would u or most on here, hence my initial post. SW and board are also accountable to some degree imo (I'm not bashing them, but they've played their part in this, so they need to figure way out together)

29 Sep 2017 17:17:55
No1 guy, the head honcho, the big cheese, numero uno.
Love it, you been watching airplane ed?

{Ed025's Note - of course RIB..great film mate..

Sa90, personally I think it's too early to sack anyone, but the deficiencies are obvious to a blind man. we don't need two holding midfielders, Ashley Williams is a liability (I've never like him in a blue shirt) and we are screaming out for pace and pizzazz and width. none of which can be gained by attained by playing 5 CMs. slow CMs. RK needs to shake his head. today.

29 Sep 2017 17:35:21
I don't think we need to panic just yet. More than anything our squad needs some confidence, when we have Baines, Schneidelin and gana passing sideways or backwards this smacks of a lack of confidence. These guys were bombing forward with the ball at their feet last season. I agree we need a target man, some pace and width but we have what we have and we need to stick together. We are not palace or Swansea, with his achievement last season, Koeman deserves at least half a season to make it work.

{Ed025's Note - i think if we just see some improvement it would help smit, but up to now he has given us nothing and that is why goodison is as quiet as i have ever heard it mate,

29 Sep 2017 17:50:51
Spot on ed. my sentiments exactly. just so frustrating when u can see areas that we are able to easily improve with the players we have.

{Ed025's Note - im just tearing my hair out jcl..

29 Sep 2017 18:56:28
You lucky, lucky b@#! *#. I have no hair left.

{Ed025's Note - i wont shortly mate.. :)

I'm with sa90 and Smit666 on this. It is too early to be chopping heads.

My only concern is Koemans stubbornness. It got our last manager sacked when he insisted on playing Howard when it was clear to the dog in the street that he was finished.

I just hope Koeman doesn't do the same. The thing that worries me the most is that the players who need to be dropped, for example Williams, Morgan and Rooney, as much as I have stood up for him and wanted him back, are players he signed. That makes it all the more harder for him to drop them and take it on the chin when he is wrong.

Koeman seems stubborn and arrogant. It may well get him the sack if he doesn't bite the bullet and change things. Especially if it continues not to work.

This comes from me that wanted Koeman and Rooney. I'm not saying I want Koeman gone. I think he needs more time and Rooney also. But with the situation the club us in at the moment they need to make things happen for their own sakes or there will be changes for both.

{Ed025's Note - good post that mate..

I'm never of the opinion to sack a manager so early in a season. Almost every season with Moyes saw us start badly but then go on a run. The same can be said of Koeman and if you look at last season that's what happened.

The problem is a usual one with teams like us and Southampton. You sell your best player and then have to find a way to compensate. Last year Stones and this year Lukaku. Lukaku is even harder to replace because of his goals.

Add to all that we have bought a shed load of players that need to adapt. However, koeman also has to adapt and be willing to. Something he has struggled to do this season so far.

Everyone's frustrated and I get why. I am too. However, I'm not at panic stations just yet and think he can turn things in our favour. Some people and again I understand why, look at the negatives but I'm trying to focus on the positives.

Yesterday for me Vlasic looked real quality and also looked like a good foil for Sig. Holgate too looked like he is ready to have a stint at CB. Hopefully we have Keane back and can dump Williams off. Plus we now have a quality GK.

I'm not worried about Sandro but he is young and not ready for the 1st team yet and Klaasen really needs time to adapt. Our league is so different in pace and aggression that for some it will take time.

To be clear though I don't support Koeman or any of our players. I support the club and if you don't perform for my club I want you gone.
