Talking about freeing up some wages what's happening with Klassen - is he injured - with the midfielders we have in the squad he won't get a game - I think sam has not even had him in the squad has he?

If he is not going to play him may as well sell him if injury free - should recoup some of the 23 mill plus I think he is on 70-80k a week

This applies also to Sandro - with the new forward in and sams preference for DCL and perhaps Niasse, sandro is not getting a game - surplus to requirements - not much outlay on this player at 5mill but again the wages could be saved and used elsewhere.

Agree1 Disagree1

I think sandro might end up going but we don't know about klaasen and whether he just needs more time. There is a huge difference in the 2 leagues, especially in the middle of the park where you don't get much time. I would understand if he was moved on but I'd like to keep hold of him at least till next January. Give him a couple of games towards the end of the season then hammer him in pre-season.

{Ed002's Note - Both are good players who have been messed about at Everton. Sevilla will make a move probably toward the end of the window and will look to a loan or a loan with an option to buy. Villareal may do the same but Valencia have another target in mind now. Espanyol and Real Betis are out of the picture financially.

Davy Klaassen has a slim chance of Fenerbahce offering him a way out.}

Id look to loan them out. If possible to a lower placed prem team or top end championship team. Sandro in a new country and had no pre season rest before season started. Klaassen needs game time, getting used to English football and basically toughening up.

ED02 what's your take on it why has it gone so wrong I'm hoping they both get time on the bench and introduced slowly which it what should of happened at the start of their Everton career unfortunately it looks to me that they were both thrown in playing in the wrong position and it crushed their confidence.

{Ed002's Note - Klaassen was done to poor summer decisions by Steve Walsh and Ronald Koeman. He is a good player but there is nowhere to naturally fit him in - hence he has rarely played. Sandra needed more opportunity and didn't get it - but he is a gain a good player - and a bargain. Having SA means that he should be able to clear the decks a bit and have more control over Walsh. Everton need to regain the balance in the side and he will have spoken to all of the playing staff and should by now nknow who is onside and who needs a new home. Everton need to give him the backing and long enough to do this. I appreciate not all of the supporters like the style of play - but maybe they are bright enough to have seen the damage done by the toxics previously to support him long enough for the club to re-establish itself and then to move ahead.}

Can someone explain what Klaassen has done to not be in the team? He’s not been bad when he’s played, certainly been better than Schneiderlin.

I have to agree with Ed002, they have both been treated appallingly by Everton. Some will say they have failed to prove themselves, which is a bit a bit difficult to do when you are barely given a chance. And when they have played for the odd few minutes they have looked short on pace, but what do you expect? Keep them both but loan them out imo.

I also agree the club has been a bit of a monster to them 2. I'd think that if you loaned them they'd never come back. So either keep an and give them a clear indication of how the club regards them or flog em asap.
In their shoes they must be more than miffed that they signed. Especially when the man RK is sacked who is likely a big draw for them to sign in the first place.

{Ed025's Note - but to be fair mate the chances they have had they have hardly pulled any trees up, im not saying they are poor but its a very competitive world they are in and when you get your chance you have to take it, its up to them now in training and when they get a chance to prove their worth..

Unless a new manager comes in during the summer I can't see Klassen getting any game time at all unless we suffer from horrendous injuries in this position - Sigs and Rooney are going to be ahead of him and then you have schneids, mcarthy, gueyre, davies, banningame and even besic in say the defensive role.

If we are not going to use him just sell him - not fair on the lad with no football and we would save a couple of quid in wages as well.

I would agree about taking your chances, however Lookman did that and still didn't get a look in. Hopefully after Friday big Sam may look to use the kid a bit more.
Still think there is a player in Sandro and we should keep hold of him.

Absolutely spot on from Ed002, although I wouldn't say messed about. Both are excellent players but as Ed says, really poor decisions by Mr Walsh and Koeman, meant that the coaching staff were trying to find a system in which all pegs would fit an impossible job. For me in order of priority in one particular position it would have been Sigurdson, Klaasen, Rooney. Up front it would have been DCL, Sandro. But I am only a punter. Yes Koeman went and the best thing for Mr Walsh luckily for him is that Big Sam has turned up.

cheers ED02 appreciate the reply we are all prone to post when tensions are high and we aren't playing how we want but once the dust settles we all understand what's happened previously and can see what Sam is trying to do. I'm hoping Sandro and Klasson both get given the time to come good.

Agree those 2 were bought for a squad with plenty of competition but, they have moved for the challenge of playing in the best most competitive league in the world so they must have known it was going to Be tough. To be thinking about selling them after 6 months is crazy, they are young so what's the panic?
They need to have a long look at Niasse and see that hard work, perseverance and a will to succeed can pay off. Niasse doesn't have a tenth of the quality these guys have but in 12 months has turned his Everton career around.
I say stick with us and you just never know.

I agree with ed25 they haven't taken there chances when played maybe they found it hard to settle in but they did not impress and you can tell they were both desperate to do well as the work rate from the two of them was good they never stopped running but it just hasn't ignited.
