Throughout the week most on here were saying that no matter what team Liverpool put out against us we would be well and truly beaten, so now we have a point the general feeling is that we were only playing against the reserve side.
Now correct me if I am wrong here but in the case of the top sides and the limited amount of squad players allowed, do they not play a few of these "reserves" in the CL? I don't think the regular team gets played in every single game.
Now if Liverpool decided to sell off the reserve team I feel every single player would be snapped up.
Do you know how many of this reserve team actually beat Man City?

Solanke (on as a sub)
Oxlade-Chamberlin ( Used as a sub today played full against city)
Alexadre- Arnold ( Used as sub today played against city)
Ings ( On the bench against City )
Masterton (on the bench for both games )
So the majority of players who made City look very ordinary were in fact playing against us today. We actually got a result against the odds today, I wish we had played against the reserves we may of beat them.

I'm very happy with the result Degsy mate, would of been happier with the win, let's be realistic most of us would of been happy with a draw if offered before kick off.

Good shout grump. I thought we battled well today. Ye with a bit more quality we would have won the game but being realistic with this season it was a very good showing and i'm proud of the team today. Keane hasn't exactly impressed this season but I thought he was brilliant today and jags. I enjoyed today.
