Hi Ed 025 what's your take on the latest in the Sunday rags re a £40 million pound move from Everton for Giroud, seems a bit steep to me he will be 31 soon, I would have thought the Gooners would go for this as he only has a year o f his contract to go, cheers mate.

I'm more interested in the rumour that we are to meet with psg about trying to sign Cavani don't know if it's true at all but would love it to be, Giroud would be good but £40 mill too expensive think he would already be here if it wasn't for his wife and family wanting him to stay in London.

I've been reading about us meeting PSG, I just cannot see us being the only team in for him, brilliant if we were, but I think a lot of the big boys will be ready to snap him up.

Fair enough stig, that's a no to the IF then. Still I'd imagine the club and people that make decisions would be willing to spend on a striker. Its the position that the dog in the street knows we need strengthening. Bar Niasse, DCL or Sandro producing the goods.

No, I get that GB, I just don't get why people complain about how much a player will cost us. I doesn't matter to me as it isn't my dosh! I think this board got a little bit bogged down in the summer with what people thought players were worth etc, and personally, I found it a little tiresome. Here we are again in only September and the bean counters are out!
I'm not having a go at anyone by the way. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and each to their own.

Would the fans want us to spend big and get a top striker, or be in the position we are in at the moment, for me I don't care what they spend as long as they score goals.
