Sundays game is pivotal in deciding who finishes 4th. Hope we take the chances we are bound to get and keep a clean sheet. Coyb paul c

I wouldn't say pivotal, I mean after this game there is still more than half the season to go and it will only be a 6pt gap which can be overturned in a week.
But it is an important game, and 3pts would be massive, but pivotal? No, both Everton and Spurs will in evidently drop points when not expected throughout the season

How can Ashley Cole be on the short list for England player of the year and Baines not be?

It's because cashly courts the media and is instantly recognisable to the public, mainly from his appearances in chick mags as one of the most hated blokes in britain for the way he treated cheryl, whereas bainsey is a quiet shy family guy. If you put a photo of bainsey before the general public most people wouldn't have a scooby do who he is. I know who's the better player and better bloke though and he's not a text pest. 1eyedblue {Ed025's Note - good point mate..

OMG NO!! This is all news to me, I mean I thought we would be able to pay the players but no money to spend at all in January looks like we'll need to sell an injury prone player for a ridiculous fee to a team who have been up and down the leagues like a tarts knickers, until they were bought for some kids birthday present, lets hope he doesn't want something else for chrimbo.

Typical glory hunter! Do you think your mega rich owners would of looked twice at City if the new stadium wasnt already built? They certainly didnt buy you due to your history or the fact that you were flying high in the league! How quickly you all forget that you were the laughing stock of Manchester not so many years ago. Mancini has now spent £400m making you a force in the Champions League. Oh wait, how is that working out for you?

Whatever the case may be we're a bigger club than you and always will be. Your recent 'success' has all be bought and paid for and as someone correctly pointed out Barry Fry could have done what Mancini has. We've earned our respect, through doing things the hard way, when success comes it will be even sweeter because we haven't bought it, we've worked hard for it. You have no respect because you've not earned it, you've simply bought trophies and anyone can do that. If Mancini was so good anyway, how come he hasn't got past the quarters of the CL ? As I said Barry Fry could have done it. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Just another gloryhunter city fan, your club would be nothing without money. Money can't buy spirit and that's why we have beaten you many times over the last decade.

hoping jelavic will bag a goal or 2 on sunday to get his confidence up again, also just read online that everton have had more shots on goal than any other team this season and have his the woodwork more times than any other team this season (add to that really bad referees) we really could have been a lot higher in the table

Isn't it strange? A few years ago City had no money, were up & down the leagues & generally struggling a bit & yet they had a certain class. You couldn't really dislike them & always rooted for them in the Manc derby. Then along comes the money & they turn into another, "we're a really big team" set of glory hunters.
I suppose, in Mancini, they have a manager who's a perfect fit. What a sad demise for a once likeable club.

Class responses by EFCwhitesocks and Toffeetezza. I agree. You can buy trophies and success, but you can't buy dignity or charisma. I would say City have very little of either right now. I also agree that when they were up and down like a tarts knickers, they did have some. Just shows you eh? Degsypulford
