Watched game from my Turkish hotel room. Couldn't understand a word but all inclusive beer helped. Thought we started well but was a tough game.
Great save with his face from pickford.
Defence really solid even with losing digne, who again has started as our best player.
Jp looks an absolute beast. Like gana but with ability to go forward. Gomes again looks like he got weeks of time on the ball. Glad Bernard got his goal, he is a great little player. Richy had poor game imo, maybe tired after playing for Brazil but we got iwobi to come in for him.
Dcl would be world class footballer, if he could finish like shearer. Hopefully he can learn quickly.

Walcott actually looked good when he came on. Holgate struggled a bit but he only a bit part player. Hopefully Baines is fit to replace digne next week.
Kean is going to be unbelievable player. So strong on the ball, took 4 to get it off him and then by fouling him. Touch more composure and he would have opened his account with us. Think he may start against villa.

In conclusion we did some great business over the summer and look good to push on towards top 6 especially with Chelsea struggling. We need to get behind Silva and brands who have done wonders over past year or so and give the team all the support we can. We will still have setbacks but we are on the way up. Back home for villa game, ready to cheer the blues on with English beer.

Good post Geoff. A win against Villa would give us a very decent start.

I think Kean and JP will end up being crowd favourites.

Chelsea haven't clicked yet and looked disjointed against Leicester. They could struggle certainly until they get a settled 11.

Let's hope we can keep some consistency this season and push on.

Nice one smit. We need to hope to continue our defensive robustness that we have found. One other thing. I am interested in seeing our new right back play to give Seamus some competition. He doesn't seem his usual marauding self so far this season.

I thought Chelsea were average at best today. They are going to struggle based on that performance, especially without the ability to reinforce due to transfer ban.

As for us, we’re not at last seasons levels yet but I’m positive we will be and maybe more once the new signings settle. Mina looks good, so staying injury free will be key for him and Keane.

Gbamin needs to understand the Premier League more, but that might not take too much time. And I can’t wait to see Kean start and show us what he can do in 70-90 mins.

All in all, lots to do still but the possibility of breaking the top six might improve if Chelsea don’t.

Yes Toffee Ace and Leicester look like they're missing something. Vardy looks like he's lost a bit of pace, unless he's just not upto speed yet.

Good post mate

Against Villa I want to see us finish them off. Have to take our chances.

That could be the game we see Kean start. Away from home, draw in the opposition and hit them with his electric pace on the counter.
