What gets me is the fact some say we have the best players and squad for years and it is down to tactics. I totally disagree! I suggest our squad is critically unbalanced. We have an abundance of non creative midfielders who are happy to go sideways and backwards. They will run all day and tackle and block. We have precious little creative midfielders. one is a kid who is carrying the team and gets slated by some for being inconsistent, one is an out and out old fashioned winger and the other crosses well but for every decent game he has, he also has a stinker and he cannot defend. Our sub bench usually has a decent player who is overlooked and we could play for 90 days in some games without scoring never mind 90 minutes. So many disgruntled fans and ones who were slating me for the last 3 years are now agreeing with me or now no longer post on here. I would gladly have Moyes back mow and that is the first time I have actually said that because usually going backwards is wron in football. This time ANYTHING different would be an inprovement!

I agree Degsy, watched the Leicester game today. They are like an old fashioned side. Strong defense who boot the ball forward or into touch if needed. No tippy-tappy stuff from the back, just good old fashioned boot for the forwards to run onto. Not good to look at but wins games which we are not doing under the present management.

You were right, everybody else is wrong. We get it.

Degsy, please don't say it's the first time you've said bring back Moyes. You've been banging his drum for the past 3 years since he left.

A lot of what you post is fair comment, but I'm not having that one mate.

I will agree with you about Martinez though, as would many now. In fact I was one of the ones that didn't want him in the first place. I'm angry with this man in charge, and hope that whatever happens this season we are not seduced into thinking he can somehow make us great again. Because no FA cup success, should it happen, will convince me otherwise.

We play good football at times as do Leicester, they have turned their fortunes around for the better while ours have turned back to the pre-Moyes era. We do have a better Squad than we have had for a long time, we do look good at times going forward but we are incredibly (to nick a word from our Managers vocabulary) naive, nervous and soft at the back. Somehow we need to get back the Teamwork and consistency that Leicester have now and that we had in the Moyes era. The thing is that under this Manager it is not going to happen, his 2IC has come out and said there is no plan B, the Manager himself has all but said he would rather we won 4-3 playing good football than 1-0 playing badly. The game is about competitiveness and with the money in the game now it is most certainly about accruing points A. to survive and B. to finish as high as we possibly can in order to attract the wealth it brings but most importantly attract the players that can keep us going forward.

I don't think many actually wanted the guy Ace, most of the sway was for the Portugese club manager Vitor Pereire, we just accepted it when it was confirmed that we had him. Personally I loved him in our first season but we still had Moyes defensive tactics working then, once he got his philosophy into the players then the sh##e started rolling down the hill at a rapid rate, no way on this earth would I ever want Moyes back, respect the guy but the way he left done it for me, hate sneaky people, Martinez will be gone within 8 weeks so everyone who wants him gone just relax.

JCW wrote above that you don't make a fortune without being a smart man, correct, but you don't become a billionaire from scratch without being ruthless and accepting mediocrity, Mr Moshiri will not be bothered in the slightest if Bill and Bobby are best mates, if he wants him gone then he will be gone.

You are wrong Toffeeace, I never before said go back to Moyes. look up my posts. what I actually kept beating on about was that things were better under Moyes but it would be wrong for the club to go backwards and bring him back. That I have changed. I would now have him back so that he has the closed season to bed in again. Things are worse that people think is what I am saying. This squad is not balanced with lack of creativity. Lennon looks brilliant. He was Spurs 3rd choice winger. Mirrallas never plays. He was awesome under Moyes. 8 goals a season. Barkley looks good at times but is still a kid. Del Boy flatters to decieve.

Degsy, can you start talking about Osman again please? These "I told you so" posts are tiresome. When we are already upset about the way things are going the last thing we need to hear is this.

Sorry Blue Tommy mate. I know the tiresome nature of it believe me. I am sooo passionate about our club I sometimes forget there are other arguments. Yeah I am down big time and it gives me no actual pleasure posting on here at the moment. But to give you a bit of response. does anyone know of any good little link midfielders we could sign from lower leagues? Marc Albrighton at Leicester City has been quite superb this season. Remember Villa released him. Bet they wished they had kept him now!
