Martinez reckons the new 22 year old striker lad, Rodríguez can fit straight into the team. Does anyone know how ready for a start is Henan? He's supposed to be miles better than Divvy Origi, to make a comparison with another young Belgian who plays fairly regularly, so does anyone think he deserves a chance yet? Also, have I missed something? But what's happened to McAleny? He was looking pretty sharp in pre season.

Think Everton should put cheeky little bids in for Terry and Cahill. They could learn a lot about defending from watching Stones and Jags in training :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Aug 2015 19:53:49
Although I'm not his biggest fan, I must say that Tim Howard earned us that point! And a point was (just about) all we deserved! Could have easily been 4-0 to Spurs today. RM got exactly what he set out for with that team selection, I mean did their keeper even have a save to make all game? It's just so negative from RM, he says he wants to sign 2 or 3 more attacking players, when he won't pick the ones we have! His tactics absolutely baffle me at times, yeah its a point away from home but I just feel we should be taking the game to the opposition more, there was virtually no threat going forward today so it was easy for them to close Rom down all game. We actually ended the game with no Attackers! Ed I sometimes wonder whether Big Dunc is sat behind him thinking "What the **** are you doing Roberto?"

Howard-8-Only thing that saved us today.

Coleman-6-Pretty useless today, does he know how to slide tackle someone? Amount of times he just backs off and let's the winger in to the box.

Stones-7-Pretty solid, had Kane quiet bar that one massive mess up from him and Jags. Why were Tottenham fans booing him? Because they are strange strange people.

Jagielka-7-Same as Stones, no idea what on earth he was doing for Kane's chance.

Oviedo-7-Did his job, seen him outpace Jordan Ibe, Antonio Valencia and Oxladw Chamberlain yet struggled to keep up with Ryan Mason. Still did well though.

McCarthy-6.5-Meh.

Barry-4-I loved him 2 seasons ago, was brilliant, now? He just gives it away, gets outmuscled and outpaced by everyone, get Besic in there.

Kone-7-Held it up well, good first touch and kept the ball when needed, unlucky with his header, did everything Lukaku SHOULD of been doing.

Barkley-5-Awful set pieces, how hard can it be to kick a ball in to the box, never beat the first man. Don't even get me started on his shots, has no left foot, scored a good goal against Norwich but bar that his shots with it are beyond awful. Gave it away too much and was all round terrible.

Cleverley-6.5-Unlucky with his shot and actually offered something, hope his injury is not serious. Done well.

Lukaku-5.5-Yeah, don't know why we took him off but he was pretty bad.

Mirallas-6-Hi Kev.

Naismith-6-Riled them up, that's about it.

Deulofeu-6-Should if started.

Wow, like, wow, god was that bad, how did we not lose? Even Moyes would say that was too negative. No shape, the formation looked like a 4-6-0. Kone, Barkley, Lukaku and Cleverley all on the wing. Played for a point and got it so I suppose I shouldn't complain, we were awful still, hope Cleverley recovers soon, just please get Barry out the team.

Agree with those ratings, Swan. Especially McCarthy. You summed him up exactly as I would. He's been out of sorts for all the games so far I think. Speaking of which, A few weeks ago I Drank some crazy Turkish spirit on holiday, neat, when it was supposed to be mixed with water. then woke up to find that Howard, Cleverly and Kone are now our best players. Tell me, is this Narnia?

Oviedo 7 don't have a laugh gave the ball away numerous times coming inside and couldn't keep with the play defensively guess he's one you favour unlike Ross

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Aug 2015 06:30:21
mikedeblue-Barry, Coleman, McCarthy and Lukaku are some of my favourite players. Did Walker or Dembele go past him? Not that I can remember. I am not biased towards players mate, everyone knows I cannot stand Tim Howard and look at that rating. Ross either scores a wonder goal or hits it out the stadium, on his left foot 90% of the time it lands in my back yard. If you don't like the ratings then fair enough but to accuse me of being biased on a player who is one of my 'favs' when my other 'favs' were terrible and my 'non favs' like Howard and Cleverley did well makes no sense mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Aug 2015 07:47:44
love Oviedo but he's awful take your blue glasses off its embarrasing

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Aug 2015 09:44:42
How is it embarrassing? My points have clearly gone over your head and you have clearly ignored what I said. Instead of telling me how I am biased you say exactly the sane as your original reply just with a bit more oomph. If I had blue tinted glasses on everyone would be praised. No, I rate players based on their performance from the match in question, not based on how they are my 'favs'. You think Oviedo was awful against Spurs for some strange reason, no mention of Coleman then? Oviedo definitely had a better game than him, is Coleman awful now too?. Unless you are going to construct a reasonable reply as to why Oviedo is now awful without just spouting nonsense. This debate is over. Thank. God. My behaviour has improved on this site, the ratings are my opinion, you disagree and that's fine but you then go on to call me biased with no basis for it. Maybe on another topic things will be better.

29 Aug 2015 17:31:11
Yes alright Kone as long as he plays him with lukaku, but he will probably put him on the wing leaving oviedo exposed. Del boy and Mirallas did well the other night, making the other side play further back. Why we do not play with width when we have the players is beyond me.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 17:47:32
He'll surely put them on at some stage for a push to win the match. Clevs playing well in first 20mins

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 18:21:34
Howard man of match in first half. Oviedo looks on the tired side. Put Del boy on round 60th to run at them when they are getting tired and who knows. Besic for Barry would be no harm either with Barry on a yellow

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 19:40:49
Not only on a yellow but his lack of pace is obvious, his timing and read will only take him to far, a good servant but this is one season to far in the prem. If RM is the manager that everyone touts him as, how come he cannot see what the rest of us see. We have the players to play with width, we have the DM's (McArthy, Besic) to allow Barkly to play just in front of them(I.E. coming from behind the ball), but Mr Bean in his arrogance is always right. 9th now, does anyone see a pattern here.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 18:30:54
It winds me up Ed how careful RM is! We should be starting with a purpose, take the game to Spurs! Their keeper hasn't had a shot to save in the 1st half. Not to start either Gerry or Mirallas is puzzling to me Ed. It looks like it's took a terrible injury to Cleverley to make him change things! So frustrating RM is!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 15:48:20
This striker from South America, is going into the U21 setup, Yea Ed? I seen somewhere that he has good English and is going straight into first team but that was only once, every other report said he was one for the future and is joining the U21's. I have only one concern about that, he is 22! Surely a bit old to be one for the future. Shor there is younger players than that in the first team. I'm not knocking the lad. I can't because I never seen him play. I hope he becomes the next Suarez. Maybe I'm mistaken or am missing something.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

29 Aug 2015 15:20:12
Hey Everyone,

Now that the furore over Stones is seemingly behind us, I thought that it is time to get back to a bit of normality. In other words choosing our resident boo boy for the year, because as we know haters just got to hate :)

Ossie n Hibbo don't play enough and McGeady is so last year! So with this in mind I thought I would put forward a few candidates some old and some new arrivals (who some people seem to have already decided are rubbish because they were cheap).I'd also like to propose a few chants which we can use during games so that they have no doubt exactly how much we appreciate them.

1 Naismith (not my choice personally)
We could sing "Naisy Naisy he helps the jobless to make ends meet, Shame he's got two left feet! Ole!"

2 Browning "You stole the ball of Duncan's nonce, So we're going to boo you, you little ponce!"

3 Mori (if he eventually signs) how about.
"You may have Pope Francesco but we've got the Falklands!"

4 Rodriguez we could try something like "You're no Luis Suarez, You're no Luis Suarez!" Just to see if he bites.

5 Cleverly ( done well so far imo but could be a winner here) chant could go.
"Cleverly, Cleverly you think you're clever but actually you're not very smart that's why you play footy instead of work in a bank!"

6 Howard (a popular choice me thinks)
and my favourite chant.
"Tim, Tim he knows Barack, but we sh@t our pants each time they attack!"

C'mon guys the season is well under way and we need to stay on top of such important matters! Let's get it sorted asap :)

COYB! Except for you and your board buddies Bill (coz you're all a bunch of meanies. So there!)

It has truly been a transfer window to forget for me. Nothing to do with purchases but more the rumours and utter rubbish that has been spouted by the journos. Add to that the Stones saga and idiot fans with banners.

Its amazing to think we have been told by reporters that Lukaku is going to Man utd, Mirrallas is off to Turkey, Coleman is off to a mulitude of clubs, Stones to Chelsea and McCarthy is going to united. Amazingly none have gone.

As for these protests. I pay a lot of money to go and watch Everton, to support them and hopefully celebrate a goal and a win. The opposition fans try and put our players off and support their own. Our protesters help them and pile even more pressure on the players. Just luck at the Southampton game all the talk after the match is about these knobheads looking for 5 minutes of fame instead of the brilliant performance on the pitch.

None of this today please. Let's have football do the talking for a change at Everton.
