Glad many blues saw my joke re Silva posting. This post isn't a joke.
GYLFI was one of our best players last year based on performances and stats (goals/ assists) . This season he looks PANTS!
Possibly he has injury or loss of confidence but CA making him captain is a stroke of genius.
Basically CA is backing him to perform as captain and player he was/ can be OR he's maximising re-sale value for a player we paid too much for in a season when we we won't get Europe or go down.
CA knows what he's doing! COYB TRUST and SUPPORT!

Ed, on the subject of wondering how certain players manage to get a game, and I think I’ve asked this question before - is it at all possible that there are ‘minimum appearance’ clauses in contracts?

{Ed002's Note - No but it is possible for players of a certain age (28) to force there unilateral termination of a contract within a couple of weeks of the end of a season if he has not played in 10% of games - under such so called "just cause" the club may be entitled to compensation. It doesn't happen.}

If a club gets fined.
A. Does it then reset the 3 year rolling FFP for the club?
B. Would a fine be included in the clubs accounts and therefore FFP for that year?

How is Schneiderlin getting a game? I just don't see it, poor touch, misplaced passes and no effort every time he plays. He must be amazing in training all week.

I think he wouldn’t be getting a game if Gomez / Gbamin were fit.
He does show his potential every now and then but his attitude is completely wrong - I don't think he is interested at all.

The same reasoning behind Lookman. We all thought Lookman was good and deserved a chance and we all think Schneiderlin is rubbish and shouldn't even be on the bench.
We were wrong with Lookman and it looks like we are wrong with Schneiderlin.
We really need to stick to being good at what we are in our jobs and let the managers do what they are good at.
