Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

A lot of people slating the club again by saying 'so much for Moyes saying he'll get his transfers in early', etc - I mean for everyone else's sake, the window has been open 46hours and 31 minutes (as of time of writing), and the transfer window doesn't close for another month and 29 days. It's not like the window closes next week, is it?

Also, another reason why I don't think anything has been anounced - if we have signed anyone - is because we don't even know when the new home kit is being anounced, so the players will be anounced when the home kit has been anounced (for the pictures, etc)

Enjoy your summer everyone, relax and just remember one thing: We are Everton fans and, as proved in the past with Moyes, whatever bad comes out of the transfer window will be rectified.

Plus, I personally think this will be a more positive than negative transfer window.

Finally, can someone please answer why Baines would go to Man Utd? I mean if he goes there, Evra will be sold or dropped to the bench, because I can't see Baines preffereing a Man Utd bench job more than an Everton 1st team job. And I don't think he'll go anyway.

Not announcing a player has signed because the new home kit hasn't been released? Not heard that before! What a L.O.B.! BlueTone

Kieth..... The home shirt thing is a bit far fetched for me, but I agree we should be more patient and deff' more positive this summer. COYB IMWT

Steven Naismith is expected to join the exodus from Rangers this week and complete a free transfer to Everton.
The Scotland international was one of the first Rangers players to object to their contracts being transferred to Green's company and Goodison Park is his preferred destination as a free agent.
Everton have denied reports that the 25-year-old passed a medical on Merseyside at the weekend – the forward suffered a second cruciate ligament injury in November – but talks have progressed and the manager David Moyes hopes to add Naismith to his squad before pre-season training commences on Thursday.
Green, the Rangers chief executive, has threatened to sue players who leave Ibrox on free transfers and seek damages from the clubs who sign them. But that has not deterred Steven Whittaker from joining Norwich City or Kyle Lafferty from signing for the Swiss club Sion, and Naismith is likely to be the next departure.
Moyes was interested in Naismith before signing his former Rangers strike partner Nikica Jelavic in January and the Croatian has given the Scot a glowing reference. Several Premier League clubs are keen on the former Kilmarnock striker but the chance of a reunion with Jelavic, and the former Rangers captain David Weir, now a coach at Everton, is swaying Naismith towards Goodison.
The Croatia international Danijel Pranjic has also been linked with a free transfer to Everton following his release by Bayern Munich. The 31-year-old claims a deal could be done this week although Moyes' priority is to strengthen his midfield with the permanent signing of Steven Pienaar, who shone on loan from Tottenham Hotspur last season but may be priced beyond Everton's reach.
Pranjic told the Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti: "I am honoured that such a successful coach wants to sign me, and would be honoured to play for a club like Everton with such a rich history. We were very close to completing a deal in January, but then Bayern prevented it going through. I can't say that everything is finished, but next week I'm expecting some concrete developments."
Moyes has to sell before he can buy players in the Pienaar price-bracket this summer but Leighton Baines, a potential revenue source wanted by Manchester United, has not been subject of an official approach from Old Trafford so far.
Baines confirmed: "I've got three years still to go on my contract. I don't think it does anyone any harm to be linked with a club like Manchester United. But it doesn't do any good either.
"It is just one of those things. It tends to swing around at this time of the year. People put two and two together sometimes they get four and sometimes they get three or five. It gets other people more excited than those involved."

Moyse in May said he would be getting his transfer targets in early before pre season. Well pre season starts on Thursday and still no one in. Why don't the club tell the truth to the fans. Stinks of another season of gloom till Christmas. {Ed025's Note - come on mate!!...for christs sake, have a bit of patience!..

Doom and gloom. Why can't we all have a bit of patience for a change and give Moyes the benefit of the doubt. I'm quite happy with the rumours of behind the scenes activity, especially since we are only 48 hours into the window.

Russian oil tycoon billionaire set to launch bid to buy Everton. If successful he plans to build Everton a new stadium to rival the Nou Camp in Stanley Park.
Everton manager David Moyes set to be given a bottomless war chest and told to scour the globe for whichever players he wants with a view to qualifying for next seasons Champions League and then European domination.
Liverpool Football Club bid £45 million for Everton strikes Victor Anichibe who is sold to them. Liverpool are then investigated for financial irregularities and put into liquidation.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Im sorry mate but pienaar is essential, donovan had an impact when the team were playing badly, but when he left it was pienaar, baines, felliani, gibson and jelavic that ran riot for the remainder of the season so I think if we need the team as it was on the last day of the season except a few pieces of dead wood and naismith, pranjic and donovan added I think europe is defo a possibility.

LADS. (I would like to keep Baines) BUT no player is bigger than Everton or irreplaceable, players come and go but Everton remains and so do the fans.
If he goes, he goes. He's just one player and Moyes will replace him and have change to get a couple more players.
Chill out.

Everton Football Club 1878 The cities first.
Bigger than one player.

MikeTheBlue

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Couldnt put it better myself MikeTheBlue totally agree lad,we are Everton the greatest team with the greatest fans and were not a deluded bunch like a certain bunch of fans we know. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

No player is bigger than the club, I agree, but our left hand side has been one of our main attacking outlets. Baines being the catalyst. Left backs are hard to come by at the best of times but someone with Baines' tallent is irreplaceable in my opinion. Anyway, he loves Everton and probably doesn't even want to go so no need to worry.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

This is what it says in the Echo...

But Baines said: “I think there is a problem in that players do have to be sold. Obviously, over the years, manager David Moyes has lost players here and there that I am sure he would have liked to keep.

“Whether that was because the club has needed the money or whether it's because they have received what they considered to be a considerable bid for a player, I can't say.

“But the club has always done good business in that sense and the manager has done well in bringing in people at a certain amount and when they have moved on, he has tended to double his money - or more.

“But maybe it would be nice to see us hang on to those players and add a couple.”

Despite constant links with Manchester United since the 2011/12 season ended, Baines added: “I've been aware of what's been sort of said in the press and what's not. I don't know much beyond that to tell you the truth. I can't really say too much about it.

“I've got three years still to go on my contract. I don't think it does anyone any harm to be linked with a club like Manchester United. But it doesn't do any good, either.

“It is just one of those things. It tends to swing around at this time of the year. People put two and two together sometimes they get four and sometimes they get three or five.

"It gets other people more excited than those involved."

-----------

I don't think he's going anywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're on the verge of having a great team - 2 or 3 additions needed - we do not want to start selling our best players for a measly 15 million! Let's keep Baines for at least another year and see if we can get into champs league - if we have pienaar and naismith and possibly donovan we really do have a chance - then 15mil will be pocket money

Keep Baines and tell Fergie to develop his own players! FOF!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's about money. If Moyes gets top whack, then he'd be a fool to keep hold of any player. Rooney and Lescott funded a lot of decent buys by Moyes. If Baines or Fellaini can be used to do the same, then we ultimately benefit.

NB: Al clubs with a handful of exceptions sell players if their values suddenly become high. Sometimes the club has one chance to make a mint, as was the case with Lescott.

I'm not saying sell, just that selling could be a means to a greater end should we get a big offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not saying we should but selling the donkey to the s**te made Newcastle a much better team they got cisse ben arfa cabaye and others and almost got champions league we could do the same but only if a really good offer comes in ie.25-30m for Baines

just went on the liverpool echo site and it says we are not interested in pranjic but we hope to finalise a deal for naismith this week. but everton have said that he has not undergone a medical yet. also moyes number one target is to bring pienaar back but we may have to sell to raise the funds

Andy

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Andy i wouldnt believe the echo mate they for some reason hate us, they never give us good press,if we were to win the league we would only get a little mention in the echo, the only time were in the echo a bit is when something negative is happening with us. They are the most biased paper in the land and they love them lot over the park. Me and loads of evertonians i know stoped buying the echo because of there hatred for are club. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Not the echo its the mirror that hates us ! All they write down is players leaving our club for other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

So the rumours that are looking realsitic are Pranjic, Naismith and Pienaar, the only one that could be tough is Donovan.

I'd be happy with that and it's realistic Pranjic and Naismith are free and Pienaar would surely cost around 4 million, surely the board can help Moyes with 4 million without selling Baines or Fellaini!!
If we can get these 3 players, keep our key players and maybe get a free striker or a striker on loan then this season could be a special one for the blues!

Donovan would of course be a huge bonus also.

Hmmm... Why would we sign Lukaku and then place him on the bench? The reason he wants to leave Chelsea on loan (or maybe even permanent) is so that he can get first team football - so why on this planet would he come to us... just to be placed back on the bench?

Keith EFC {Ed025's Note - good point keith..

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be hard to pick who to take off the bench because all the players on there could be needed in the match; GK - if Howard gets injured, Neville - if team needs guidance, Pranjic - to up the momentum, Rodwell and Distin - to protect the game if we're winning, Osman and Barkley - if we need a bit of spark or creativity and Lukaku - to get us a goal.

Say if Baines and Felli did go for big money...and we got a couple of loans in...would that steady the ship financially and make the immediate future of the club a bit more secure? {Ed025's Note - it would..but do we really want to sell off the family silver?..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Hmm.....some peoples logic amazes me.

so we have a finacially stable club with no really good players?

how do we keep finacially stable in the championship then einstein?

EverTheOptimistic

Agree0 Disagree0

If Baines and Fellani went for a combined total of £55 million - what they're worth, I'd buy Coentrao (£24 million) from Real Madrid, Ganso (£15 - £20 million) from Santos and Cardozo (£10 million) from Benfica. Total cost - £49 - £54 million so there's a £1 million profit which can go to the bank or wages!!

Pecko {Ed025's Note - not realistic mate....their wages would double that figure..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's daft for any fan to want to sell our best players BUT i kind of see his point. If Baines and Fellaini were sold for lets say 25 each (50 million) and we only bought Pranjic (free, left back) Naismith (free), Pienaar (4 million) we wouldn't be relegated would we!
We had have more than enough to have a average season and with the debt looking better, someone might buy us?
NEXT SEASON=FIREWORKS!

BUT i'd rather keep both just saying don't shoot the poster down i can see his point.

Agree0 Disagree0

@EverTheOptimistic so you think we only have 2 premiership quality players in our squad?? getting big money for 2 of our players and balancing the books might be better than carrying on with the current failing business model and risk the bank pulling the plug at some stage, which at some point they will.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trust me i dont want to see them go, but they are the harsh decisions a club in our financial plight has to make, the very future of the club has to come first

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was that easy I'm sure it would have been done, we are financially stable compared to some, so why rip apart a team that's being built, to replace with lower talent, and risk success that we crave.
