Rounding up opinion on sites official and rumour KDH best position is behind the 3. 4 2 3 1. Alcaraz not good (my opinion not bad) . We need a new attacking midfielder. We should stick with Barry until (if) we find a striker. We need a RB unless Moyes sticks with Garner (played excellent to be fair) and O'Brien (CB MoM against Bournmouth) .

So in Jan we need a RB, AM, DM (if Rohl out) and striker. AM recall Armstrong, RB covered if Keane fit, DM covered if Rohl fit. Oh and McNeil/Dibling AFCON. Only real search is striker.

O’Brien is wasted as a r/b. Garner played well there and should stay there. Alcaraz needs more than one game and is a good attacking option. KDH has to drop back it’s his best position. What we need is a goal scorer, doesn’t have to be ten foot tall, just needs to know how to score goals.

Can’t imagine we’ll be signing a striker in January.

Whilst we need the strikers to start scoring the service to them isn’t great.

We have some really good attacking players in Grealish, Ndiaye and KDH, however it’s almost as if they’re playing their own game and seem to continually pass to each other to score rather than whipping a ball in for the strikers.

Barry is starting to get involved in all the link up play and getting on their wavelength and his game is improving, getting stronger and has a decent touch.

Don’t think it’ll be long before he starts scoring.

Imagine full backs and a defensive midfielder will be the priorities this window.

I think we need a LB as well Dms. As much as we need a striker, I actually think getting two fullbacks in will do more to improve the team and makes more sense given the winter market. It isn't the easiest time to do business at the best of times but trying to find a striker that can score goals and prize him away from someone mid-season is near impossible, at least unless you want your pants pulled down on the price.

Personally, I would love us to go and get both sides sorted and I think it will not only improve the defence but will help us in our overall approach to games and will see the likes of Ndiaye and Grealish improve even more and have more space to utilise.

There are rumours that Antonee Robinson would like to return home, him and Juanlu Sanchez would be outstanding coups and turn the side on it's head, injecting us with pace and power down the flanks out of nowhere. If we can then stretch to bringing a proper 6 in, that would be next on my list. Morten Frendrup would tick all the boxes and would be available at a steal around 20m.

We can then focus on finishing strong through spring and already some striker targets in mind for the summer, allowing us to get them in early.

Think you are spot on with the AM, we need an out and out 10 that can knit everything together and create. I would love a ball playing CM as well to give us balance and the ability to hit the likes of Ndiaye quick - Joey Veerman from PSV is an unbelievable passer of the ball but I imagine he won't come cheap. We also need to freshen up at CB imo. Keane and Tarks have been good but feel they should become squad players next season.

Can't really argue with that, although I think CA needs more game time before people judge him properly. I'd like a new No10 as some have pointed out, but priorities will dictate in the next window with a RB, possibly a LB, and a CF are more urgent right now.

Dan, we have been creating chances for the forwards, they just haven't been taking them. Barry is improving but how much longer can we wait for him to start finding the net? We need a proven goalscorer who can hit the ground running, no more potential like TB and no bargain basement purchases like beto. Get the right forward in and we will be comfortable in mid table and not looking over our shoulder towards the relegation scrap.

I, for one, am happy that the club is moving in the right direction. There have been a few blips, and there will be more to come, but we seem to be in a far better place after just one window under the new owners.

{Ed025's Note - i would not mind a cheeky bid for Evanilson at Bournemouth you know BP, he is not getting his game at the moment and i think hes talented, it doesn,t have to be a giant who you have to lump the ball up to because we have a lot better footballers now mate..

Just watched the U21s play Real Madrid we would have taken a hammering if not for George Pickford in goal, he saved multiple efforts including a penalty. One for the future 👍.

Good result last night. I thought Tim played really well, he’s got a lot of flak, which he has deserved, at times, but there’s definitely a player in there - he’s big and strong and was quite tidy on the ball last night.

The tackle he made when they were on the break in the second half, when on a yellow, was quality. I really hope he can kick on now and become a proper player for us.

03 Dec 2025 22:24:22
He did.

Did anyone see that penalty given in the Newcastle game lastnight 🤔 because if they are giving them now they may aswell just give a pen instead of a corner. but then again might stop all this wrestling in the box.

Must admit I hate it when players have ther backs to the ball and are looking at the player grabbing them. Pick up your man get goal side of them and clear it. How simple is that 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

Only Palace have bigger points swing than us at same time from last season.
Its taken until February the last 3 seasons to get this many points.
Only Arsenal have more away points since Moyes took charge again.

Thats clear progress.

Watched the whole game back. Bit harsh on Barry the outfield player, spot on harshness the striker. The rest including Tim good games. Observation, Dibling must be absolute crap if McNeil gets in before him, slow feet, slow reaction.

Get rid of Barry, he's rubbish.

03 Dec 2025 14:19:22
I would keep him Lee, no he hasn’t scored yet but the goals will come, his play is much better now especially his heading, get a new striker in Jan and have him as back up, would let Beto go myself.

{Ed025's Note - imo GB if we need a striker from the bench then Beto is a far better option than Barry mate, none of them would be the best thing but of course thats just my take on things..

Agree1

03 Dec 2025 14:46:31
Only my opinion but I was against Barry for ages Ed but he has improved his heading and ball control is so much better than Beto the guy is so clumsy, in an ideal world I’d get shod of both mate but that won’t happen unless Father Christmas helps us out.

{Ed025's Note - i was all for giving Barry a chance GB but 11 hours of football without a shot on target for a centre forward tells me everything i need to know mate, at least Beto puts himself about and creates a nuisance of himself..

Agree1

03 Dec 2025 15:20:09
How about trying both up top? Imagine they would cause chaos to defenders and each other. But it might be fun to at least try. Maybe give it a go in a cup game.

{Ed025's Note - if Fred Carno was picking the side then maybe Brass.. :)

Agree0

03 Dec 2025 16:30:29
watched the whole game back, yes he does head a ball or rather ball hits his head, his groundwork is better away from goal but he is 6ft 3 or 4 and was outjumped by a 5ft 9 last night. Both are not at the same level as DCL and he is average.

Having said that we have 9 pts out of 12 with him up top so logic says leave well alone. I doubt very much we can get a decent striker in Jan and would hope for no panic buy. 21 points from 14 games! who would take 21 from our next 14. 42 pts 28 games.
