Whereas Zaha is a definite upgrade on Walcott, I still cannot get myself excited by his supposed transfer to us. Not saying they'd come, but would much prefer either Brazilian Malcom or Neres, both cheaper and younger. No proof in it, but can't see Zaha settling, he's apparently a bit of a loner, and to sell him on if needed, wouldn't get anywhere near the asked 80m. Not a doom monger, just nervous. Haha.

He may be a game changer for Palace, but I can't help seeing him as a big fish in a small pond. Apparently we've gone in with a larger offer on him tonight now.

I agree with you Smit, he makes thinks happen from nothing and has brilliant close control that draws in fouls.

Zaha for 80 mil or malcolm for 40 mil, from what I've seen of malcolm which admittedly isn't a lot, but enough to have the opinion that Zaha is not twice as good, or shoukd be valued at twice the price. I woukd take malcolm if I had the option.

I get what your satiny Nilsatis, but the one variable that we must not forget is that it’s NOT a cattle market, the player actually has a choice where to go. I remember saying the same thing over 10 years ago when we purchased Fellani for 15mil and Liverpool handed over 20mil for Torres. We could have offered 30mil for Torres, we offered more for Collymore (to the player in wages aswell) and Saunders back in the day but the player has to agree to the move in most circumstances. We sold Lukaku for 75mil, surely we had an extra 15mil to our bid Juve for Ronaldo. No, it’s not happening . not just yet. Not just yet.

I like the look of Malcolm but will he bring 10 goals a season? Zaha most likely will. I love Bernard but last season he scored 1 but worked his socks off so we all love him.
Zaha will hit the ground running and get most likely more goals than Malcolm.
