It's a crazy ride being a blue, this season has aged me like no other!
Yesterday we got the job done showing heart and desire. Why has that been missing for the majority of the season? That's all we ask for week in week out, for every player to put in a shift and fight for every ball. The fans were tremendous yesterday, not just for the 90 minutes but the atmosphere they created around the ground 3 hours before kick off. We need to keep that intensity up for every remaining home game, make Goodison the bear pit that other teams hate to visit. If we get maximum points from our remaining home games then we are almost safe.
Every player can hold their heads up high after that game but Pickford must get a special mention. That save when he scrambled across his goal has to be up there with the save of the season, absolute quality. The one with his face wasn't bad either! If they continue to play in the same vain then we will survive this relegation scare and we can look to next season for Frank to improve the squad and bring in a bit of stability. That's something we've not had since FM bought our club.

Simple answer appears to be YERRY MINA.

We’ve secured 18pts from the 12 games he’s been involved in.

Without him in team it’s 14pts from 21 games.

Genuinely didn’t realise he was that important to the team but the stats actually back it up.

As most have already said he was immense yesterday, proper leader, getting in players faces, being a nuisance but also him and Holgate worked very well together.

Providing both stay fit they should be the centreback pairing for remaining games.

Agree with that, GD. It was pointed out by a few on here that we are a better defensive unit with him in so we need to keep him fit for the remainder of the season. I'd say we are also not as prolific up top so we need to take our chances and keep the pressure off of our defence. It's in our own hands again, let's not feck this up from here!

Agree about Yerry. Was a colossus yesterday. No disrespect to Seamus, but Yerry showed how a captain should be during a game. Constantly urging team on. Jumping all over pick ford for even simplest if catches. That's grit, determination, passion and the old dogs of war spirit shining through. Pick ford its the same with his g'ing up the team. Just need the rest to show same grit, determination and passion.

At home the Team can play, the reality is however, away form is awful and even in this situation the Team don't seem able to turn up.
