Italian media rehashing the same Kean stories again, really can't see it happening at all, but very worrying we're seeing no other rumours for strikers other than Welbeck.

I think the only way we will sign a striker is if tosun is sold and I can't see that as he's still out injured. I must admit with lookman gone gana about to go and zouma staying at Chelsea are squad is actually weaker than last season and with only 2 weeks to strengthen there's lots of work to do.

Welbeck for me if fit is better than dcl atthiw moment in time, I really hope we sign someone decent but if not on the right contract I woukd take welbeck. Who would you rather coming on niasse or welbeck? I will be honest I'm starting to panic now, we look like starting the season with no zouma, gueye an still no decent striker looking close, just what seems paper talk.

The problem is welbeck is never fit so why waste money on an injury prone player.

That's what I mean if on the right contract, if it was a choice between no one or welbeck I would take him, I woukd rather see Zaha, keen, neres, malcolm, but at the minute we are not even in negotiations with anyone so I'm looking at possible outcomes.

Brands and Silva have repeatedly said that the plan was to trim the squad and the wage bill - job done. Signings will follow and we will have a stronger squad than we did. Have faith.

Do you really believe it is just a case of picking up a phone and saying ‘we’ll have him. ’
Unfortunately agents will ‘negotiate’ with various clubs to get the best deal for the player ( and themselves) , players will want CL club ideally, if not a Europa club and if they can’t get them then the likes of Everton become an option.
There is ‘negotiation’ going on constantly behind the scenes at this time of year and is just a case of waiting for something to happen, someone to ‘blink’.
Last year we had no idea re Bernard, Gomes, Digne until last minute.
Does that mean no negotiation was happening?
Brands keeps things very close to his chest. There will be names thrown in as a smokescreen, tentative enquiries made re a player just to see lay of land.
But to say we are not negotiating with just two weeks to go and 4/ 5 players wanted - you really think that?

Geuye leaving was inevitable. Zouma not arriving is out of the clubs hands. There is still time. I'm still anxious though so understand the worries.

So far every player we've been linked with reports apparently from the club has said we're not interested in such as malcolm, every other player Ed has said we've not contacted or have no chance, sir excuse me for bit living in the land of positivity, bit its two weeks to go an no striker, and sometimes things don't always work out the way you want them too, so having an opinion on whether it might not and discussing other options seems ridiculous on here to some. Everyone on here wants what's best for the club but some people maybe have a more positive, optimistic look on things. i'm more of, I don't want to build my hopes up, I will be delighted when I see one of those top names players holding the shirt type of people.
