Such a crappy reault today. We didn't play particularly well, but were still much better than BHA.
How on Earth Richarlison didn't get a penalty for a blatant pull to the ground yet VAR awarded one to BHA for the most innocuous of incidents by Keane, wholly accidental, barely any contact, a complete lack of intent. It's a farce!
We made a mistake to then try to push for the win in the final minutes when we could have played the game out for a point, but it just sums up the game really to throw it away.

Can't see Silva being sacked after this. I actually think it would be stupid to do so. We have a big cup game in a few days and the sacking of our manager would completely derail this opportunity to progress.
It's going to be twitchy bum time until Christmas i think, some ups and downs, but i do see us getting enough points to pull away from the relegation battle. Mid-table at very best this year which sucks, but if Silva wins a trophy then you have to wonder if there are really grounds to sack him.

There are two things to this result that annoy me.
First, Brighton fans are laughing their socks off right now in the fact that they’ve come away from that game with three points their team no way deserved thanks to an appalling use of VAR.
Second, they fully expected to get three points because we are so poor away from home that teams like Brighton know full well that they will get the win. I mean, come on! We can never expect to win any silverware or break into the top six when we are such a cert to lose our away games.

I like the optimism there but we surely will never win a trophy under him. You only have to look at the sub par performances week in, week out and lack of tactics to see that. We simply haven't been good enough all season. Our form is bloody terrible. Marco Silva will be gone by Christmas as we cannot continue to play this badly or afford to lose as many games as we have. 10 points after 10 games is a joke especially when you look at our fixture list.

As for the Brighton game my view on the goals are - Pickford should have done better on the first goal and he wanted the gap in the wall. Admittedly it was a stupid free kick to give away. The second goal with Keane conceding the penalty was very harsh for me and totally accidental but VAR has given it and you have to accept it. The third was just the icing on the cake. I'm not sure what Digne was thinking especially facing towards goal.

Struggling a bit to know what to make of it after that game.

Silva did what most people wanted after West Ham. He named an unchanged side except for the forced change due to injury of Mina. On paper we were playing an inferior side to West Ham but the 2 displays were chalk and cheese.

What I am struggling with is it Silva's fault as it was the same side with I would suspect the same instructions or was it the players?

Walcott, after a good game against WH was ineffective and wasteful in his finishing. Davies' distribution was terrible, Gomes didn't boss the midfield, Iwobi I thought was poor - sorry but I didn't see anything in his game yesterday to get excited about. Sidebe did nothing offensively and was out of position for the third

I know Bernard's injury didn't help. I know the VAR penalty seemed terribly unfair but why can't some of our players play several good games back to back, week in week out

I think it is too easy to put the blame on the management and let the players get away with not putting in a decent shift. Yes management have to motivate but really? Proper players shouldn't need motivating. They were playing a team we are better than on paper but too many went missing and didn't play to their ability

After turning a corner against West Ham we blew a gasket against Brighton. (sorry for all the analogies) and now have to come again against Watford with us lacking in confidence when we should have won and gone into the game with spirits high.

Oh yeah are we Wigan? let's win a trophy and get relegated. For a business to survive, it has to invest and grow, most do so while doing well. We on the other hand as far as our latest 'Manager' is concerned invest in failure.

Rtfp billscrocodiletears.
I said nothing about 'doing a Wigan'. Whilst we are having a shocker, i fully expect us to move up the table and avoid the relegataion battle. Much the same as the Koeman/ Rhino/ Sam season. Everyone bitching about us getting relegated yet it was never really going to happen and i don't think any real fan actually believed we would (except you and dark clouds) .
Same this year, but with actual Cup winning possibilities.
Yes its disappointing and everyone knows we are better than we're showing, but cut out the drama queen bollocks for once will you.
