Mason Holgate signs 5 year deal, that's great news for us he will be some defender in the years ahead.

My opinion he would be far more useful to us stepping out as a DM.

I happen to agree with DFS but whatever position he ends up with, its great news he has signed a new contract as he has definitely been one of our successes this season.

With the rumours about the government stopping events with over 1,000 people present LFC have come up with a solution, they are only going to allow scousers in their ground. :-)

I have a few questions
If De Gea catches Siggys shot does VAR review the two footed lunge by the Utd player,
Take Siggy out of the situation and does the dubious goals panel award the goal to DCL when De Gea is moving to save it and Maguires deflection wrong foots him and changes the course of the ball
Why is Maguire there if not to block the shot whether or not he succeeds that is his purpose for being there the fact it hits is heel is immaterial if he stops it with a more deliberate action so does that not change the phase of play
I might be talking bollocks but it appears that the decision by VAR is being justified by the premier league rather than saying actually we got it wrong .
The reason Mr Ancelotti got sent off for asking the ref to explain why is because the ref didn’t know the answer only that it was offside and it was the only way to get rid of him .
In fairness to the on field ref and assistant they got it right it was a goal.

I agree that onfield ref got it right and gave a "goal" but I thought VAR only overruled if there was an obvious error from the ref. The fact that many pundits and even ex refs have different opinions over whether it should've stood surely show it wasn't an obvious mistake by the ref so why did VAR overrule?
VAR is destroying the live game. Last minute winners against Man U are what people pay to go the game for! It's crazy that the fans live experience of emotions is being tempered by VAR reversing decisions and I think that's true for fans of all clubs. I don't know a true fan who thinks VAR is a good thing - let's go back to good old days of refs making decisions even if it means we will have to put up with dubious Collina type judgements again and again. At least we can celebrate given goals again properly!

Where I think VAR is going wrong is it seems like the on field ref abdicates his responsibility for the decision to the ref in the studio.
In Rugby the ref talks to the video ref and explains what he wants him to look at and gives his view of the incident. Replays are shown on the on-field screen and the 2 agree on a decision but I think the on-field ref would have the say if there ever was disagreement

There's no evidence of this happening in VAR and we, the fans feel cheated as the on-field ref doesn't seem to challenge the guy sitting comfortably in the studio.

Needs some work FA.
