I'm concerned thatcat one stage we had players aged 34, 35 and 39 on the pitch. Either SD is scared of giving the kids a chance or we've let our better ones go and kept the second rate ones for the bench. I couldn't tell you anything about Mackenzie Hunt but he's been on the bench alot, never given a chance but is 22 years old so at least should be ready for the first team. The same applies to Dobbin a a couple of others.

We’re in a dogfight, SD possibly thinks that experience is what is required to give us the best chance of staying up.

Especially when he brings Seamus on, Gana was the player who looked knackered.

{Ed025's Note - Gana did look knackered GB, understandably after the AFCON, but Godfrey was out on his feet mate, by the way he done very well i thought..

But what when experience is not up to it JB? He still picks them.

Yep for sure Ed I thought they both played well today.

We have limited choice, Nick. It’s about who replaces them. SD clearly thinks they’re the best option. I’d like to think that we will look to replace Guaye and Young in the summer. Onana and Dacoure being injured is a big factor of course.

A lot of ageism goes on in these pages! Let's not forget, these dame players would be 10 points better off and not in the relegation battle if if wasn't for the Premier league punishment.
Richard Gough and David Weir did OK for us back in the day and they were knocking on 40.
We had to sell some of the better of our younger players to balance the books for ffp and, let's be honest, the likes of Simms and Cannon aren't setting the championship alight are they?
