Seems like a host of top clubs both here and in Europe are looking at Braithwaite as a possible summer signing. If the lad wants to leave or FFP dictates a sale then I hope we get some decent negotiators in.
Carlisle will no doubt be due a percentage and therefore we need to start a bidding war for the lad. I really hope he stays but if he has serious ambition, unfortunately he'll need to move on.

Well let’s hope we get a good price for him, and not one of these 20m a year for the next five years crap.
We really are on a downward spiral selling our best players, facing relegation and getting taken over by a dodgy Miami mob.
Now I’ve seen some ups and downs with this club over sixty years. But I can honestly say I have never known it as bad as it is now.
Anyone remember the Mersey Millionaire’s?

Those were the days WoburnB, we were the envy of the league then. Now we are the whipping boys.

I think we will be forced into a few sales this summer, Branthwaite and Onana for certain, I wouldn’t be surprised is DCL left too and maybe even Pickford (the only thing saving us there is I can’t see which club needs a keeper! )

Distant memories now, Woburn, far too distant mate!

I know bp feel really sorry for supporters like my two sons who have never seen us have success. My eldest was born the year we won the cup, our last trophy.

{Ed025's Note - mine are a bit older Brass, but they are both reds...bloody kids.. :)

Was 6 at the time when we won the fa cup can't really say i remember at that age but am 34 years old and tbh i can't see us anytime soon qualifying for europe league just seems like a relegation battle this year an next few years aswell love to see us win a fa cup league cup or even the egg and spoon race will do but this team an club top to bottom needs a proper reshuffle.

We used to sell well buy cheap and consistent top 8. Once the 'advisors' got hold of Moshri is when it all went tits up.

I was 16 when we won the fa cup, was desperate for a billionaire owner to come in and took Moyes’ top half finishes and European qualifications for granted. Players like Ferguson, Baines, Cahill etc that would run through brick walls for the club. Careful what you wish for ay?

{Ed025's Note - absolutely JB, we all thought getting a billionaire owner would be the making of this club mate...turned out it was one of the darkest days in our history..

15 Feb 2024 08:46:23
The wrong Billionaire owner Ed. If we’d had a different billionaire without his ‘advisors’, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess.

{Ed025's Note - exactly BR, trust us to get a billionaire and it turns out to be Mr Bean..

15 Feb 2024 23:35:39
Or Mr Ben. Walked into a changing room and came out dressed as a billionaire.

I think I would rather keep Branthwaite, we need to look to the future. I think Pickford has been class and kept us in the premier league to be honest but he’s probably at the peak of his value now, if a decent offer came in for DCL I would also consider it, again Doucoure if the Saudis come knocking again, I wouldn’t have sold in January but the summer is a different proposition. This is all with the understanding that we could reinvest all the money in the squad.

Could be at the point where a complete overhaul is required. Get the wage bill right down, let the highest earners go, and cap the max at 60k a week.
