Just a thought, so sorry if this is a stupid question, But if we are being hung out to dry on these loans that have to be paid back before a certain time, can't our owner use his own money as a loan on a zero pay back option, Everton still have to pay him back, no intrest or a lot lower , its his money and his club, or is there some ruling this cannot happen.

Sounds fair too sensible that BluePasty mate.

15 May 2024 09:30:08
Don’t think he’s got any money mate. He’s a billionaire due to investments he owns in companies. Apparently.

15 May 2024 14:12:21
Think his money disappeared with Usmanov. Since the invasion he's not put anything forward. He can't publicly say this of course.

15 May 2024 14:20:20
People don't have money just sitting in the bank. It'll be invested in all sorts of places. Moshiri has already invested a lot of his own money into the club and in it's current state would be stupid to put more in when he is selling it.

I would prefer he sticks with the club than 777 and just let the right people run it. In two years and with little or less drama possibly, he could get the value he holds it at or at least better equipped people looking at it as an investment.

15 May 2024 16:19:57
Does he shop at Aldi now?

15 May 2024 17:02:11
Nowt wrong with Aldi Nick, do a lovely selection of yogurts. ?.

16 May 2024 06:39:56
Look at the accounts

The club has a interest free loan out from Blue Sky Holdings, one of Moshiri's companies of £450m. Repayment date has not been fixed and I don't think they are secured against any assets of the club. I think this was an increase of approx 80m from previous year

Moshiri could, in theory, provide more but his heart isn't in the club, so I doubt he is willing to put in more when he is already facing losing hundreds of millions in selling the club. Personally I have little sympathy in his losses, the fool and his money are soon parted

The fact it leaves us in a hole does worry me.

15 May 2024 08:13:23
Interesting debate over spurs fans wanting to lose so Arsenal don't win the title. I'm curious, if we played Manchester United if they're running for the title and beating them could hand the title to Liverpool, would you hope Everton lose?

15 May 2024 08:44:22
I would want Everton to win every time TomTom. Just the taste of defeat wouldn't taste as bitter.

15 May 2024 09:31:25
Never. Only want us to win. What happens around that I couldn’t care less.

15 May 2024 10:19:13
Yeh me too. Always want us to win!

15 May 2024 11:25:36
Always a win mate.

15 May 2024 13:13:06
It's the jobs of other clubs to do your club a "favour" and often we all joke that for "tonight I'll be rooting for ****" but to go against your own club at anytime is not right. They could have still qualified for CL . Embarrassing stuff and I hope it was only the casual fans who don't really count but I suspect it. was wide spread.

15 May 2024 18:35:29
If it was us, I'd route for the win and then remind them we won them the title?.

16 May 2024 10:37:39
Always the win, I couldn't care less about other teams.

17 May 2024 08:32:42
Always the win.

Why would you make your rivals more important than your own team?

It was obvious that 777, were never anywhere near passing the test of being fit and proper persons to run a premier league football club, and had they done their job, F/ M Would have had to look for an alternative buyer, long ago.
So yes, our problems are of our own creation, but had the premium league done their job, this current crisis situation would never have arisen.
They are part of the problem and should be making a better fist of being part of the solution.

14 May 2024 03:46:18
They are doing their job.

14 May 2024 07:41:13
Also I am pretty sure they passed the fit and proper owners test - it's proof of funds that is the problem.

14 May 2024 10:48:25
Got to wonder how they passed that given their track record with other clubs.

14 May 2024 11:38:05
It's not the EPLs job to decide who FM sells the club to, it's their job to make sure the buyers are responsible and and competent enough to run a huge institution, they've done right by all us Evertonians in establishing that these 777 charlatans are most undesirable custodians of the club.

13 May 2024 16:36:13

They say you should not speak ill of the dead, and I do not intend to do so.
However given the clubs present situation, it seems reasonable to consider the roll of Bill Kenwright, Bill was, I believe a committed Evertonion, but was gravely mislead in the choices he made in respect of the clubs future financial stability.

If as we and Bill were told F/M was a man of great personal wealth, surely his reliance on his Russian friend for funding, should have started to ring warning bell,s long before the Russian war took him out of the picture.
And whilst bill bears some responsibility, the roll of the premier league should also come into question, happy to use us as their whipping boy.

With the money that was spent, we should have a squad capable of competing at the top of the table. Our income would have increased with success and we might not be where we are now.

13 May 2024 18:25:26
Also worth pointing out that many people said at the time Moshiri was simply a front for Usmanov and we chose to look the other way because hey Money money money. It's been said before, but for the last time I hope.

We made our bed, we have to lie in it. We have had plenty of opportunities to put things right, ED02 has been correctly calling out how bad things are for many years - and if he knew, then EFC must have known too, and that is everyone that ran this club not just Bill.

13 May 2024 18:46:11
If it wasn't for the Ukrainian conflict then perhaps the duo's deceitful money swaps may and I say may have turned out to be legal if unorthodox and perhaps even would have managed to convolute a viable excuse for some of the over spending. But it didn't work that way. Not sure Bill could have foreseeable insight as it's been a right old house of cards. Guess the safe stance to take is all Billionaires probably did some pretty savage stuff at some points to build that kind of wealth. We probably need a consortium of millionaires who can all reign eachother in? Billionaires suck.

13 May 2024 19:50:48
If I am correct, Usmanov and Morshiri wanted to increase their shares in Arsenal but, Cronke said no. Maybe he knew something that should have sounded alarm bells to others.

14 May 2024 03:55:49
Said that at the time Bill brought Moshiri in. The other problem on investment was Bill himself. Loved the Club so much he couldn't let go. Fair do's Bill also by all accounts tried to temper Moshiri but advice from elsewhere apparently held sway. It is what it is, would of, could of, should of has long gone.

14 May 2024 14:37:49
Not one Evertonian was saying we shouldn't be buying players and we shouldn't be spending money. except Bill.

In his first AGM he said exactly that on stage with Moshiri. "He keeps saying he wants to buy this player and that player and I'm like, you can't go out and buy everyone".

Simon Jordan also said that he said to Bill about his purchases. Bill said to him "how do you tell a billionaire to not spend his money? He doesn't listen".

The sway was the agents AND the fans demands. Moshiri listened to the fans over sacking managers too early which he admitted and listened to the agents on buying rubbish. Maybe if he'd listened to Bill we might not have been in the mess. After all he'd just brought 11 years of stability with little money.

13 May 2024 14:39:59
Personally this close season I have vowed not to worry about incomings and outgoings this close season . I know we will have to sell some players and more will be out of contract. I also know that players that come in may not be of the quality we desire . However I will not stress and trust in our manager and DOF to get it right . This may change by July ?.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2024 15:58:01
I for one do not trust our DOF.

13 May 2024 17:28:11
Time will tell I suppose, he’s had a good while to identify free/ cheap players.

13 May 2024 17:54:39
I would like a complete clear out. DOF, SD, coaching staff. We've lost our way in the ability to bring in youngsters and end up with a finished product. Why have an academy if we let them go because a manager does not rate them.

15 May 2024 09:35:03
The only reason I can think of Nick is that it’s pure profit as their home grown players. Otherwise as you say why have it.

13 May 2024 14:09:11
Have to say I am bothered about Dyche's comments on Jack Harrison. not only his seeming desire to sign him, but his positive evaluation of the effect he has had. Have to say that on the evidence of what I saw this season, that calibre of player is only going to leave us in the lower regions. no pace to speak of. so does not get to the line beating a full back. and his dribbling ability is not that great either. loses possession or fails to hit the right pass regularly. When it comes to end product there have to be better possibilities out there.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2024 14:49:20
I havnt seen that statement but if true he's certainly not worth 30 mill if that's his actually future fee i honestly think we can get better an cheaper alternatives if we can be assed to go abroad an scout in belgium norway leagues even south Europe always a hidden gem just got to be found.

13 May 2024 17:28:43
I would not be investing money in his fee or wages, better spent elsewhere.

15 May 2024 09:36:14
Agree JB. Need a wide man with pace and can take a man on. He has neither.

13 May 2024 12:55:21
I put together a list of players a week or so back that we could realistically target, one of those being AZ Alkmaar RB - Yukinari Sugawara.

I have just read that we are tracking him, along with Inter and Brighton. For the first time in a few years I have read a transfer rumour that I actually wish to be true.

He would sort that RB spot out for us for sure. Rumoured to be available for about 6m, he is exactly the signing that we should be making.

Downside is, if Brighton and Inter are keen, there is no chance he picks us.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 May 2024 13:36:21
Why would u pick Brighton over the mighty toffees our fanbase is an appeal to anyone before 5 years ago nobody heard of brighton.

13 May 2024 13:48:44
Saw that we were interested in him mate that’s the sort of player Sean will be looking at, hope he can get him.

13 May 2024 14:13:06
Agree Toffeeloyalist but I think we may be a little bias mate haha.

Fingers crossed GB. Signing him would be like getting Seamus back in his prime all over again mate.

14 May 2024 22:23:28
Watched him last year when was in Holland stag do he was impressive so was lb who ended up at Bournemouth there striker okay aswell.
