Saw a post about an interview with Grealish, he speaks very passionately about the team and club. Really hope he continues good form and signs personally.

Depends how he does for the season and if that £50m can be lowered.
But I think he’ll end up back at Villa regardless. Just appreciate him while he’s here, wasn’t overly keen on the idea but he’s absolutely class, love his work rate too.

Well if we can’t afford the £50m then Villa definitely can’t. I understand the idea of him ending back at villa but I don’t see any other reason than sentiment. Apart from that I see no sound basis for him to choose them and for villa to satisfy City’s value. Both of which will have to happen.
Whereas I can see us being able to afford him and there’s certainly an affinity developing with him and our club.
